Cricket tournament

EC 2005 organized popular Cricket tournament open to all Kannadigas in Kuwait on occasion of 21st Kuwait Kannada Koota anniversary. The event was sponsored by Srilankan Airlines. 12 teams participated in the tournament. League matches which were contested evenly were conducted from 18th March to 21stApril 2005 and semi finals and finals which were attended by large crowds were played from 9thDec to 23rd Dec 2005. Prize distribution was held on 12th Jan 2006 at ICSK -Khaitan. The title of the tournament was won by Tulu Koota Kuwait by defeating Friends Cricket Club. Durar Xi bagged the second runner up and Friends Junior Daasotsava Indoor Sports Day Daasotsava Indoor Sports Day settled for the fourth place.
