Annual Day

A number of cultural activities were conducted in this function. One such performance was for the song “Chiv Chiv yendu haadona”, for which the elaborate bird costumes were prepared by the director Mr. Nagraj himself. The programme was liked and appreciated by one and all. The famous song of Karnataka “Punyakoti” was very well narrated in the form of a skit directed by Mrs. Usha Murthy. A small child “Arati” enacted the role of the young calf with her innocent and sweet voice. During rehearsals, the child was asked to correct some lines especially “Amma, Neenu Saayaleke” meaning “O Mother, should you die” , and her excellent performance during the show was indeed the highlight the entire programme showcased the richness of Kannada literature. In its endeavor to promote “Kannada Language and Cultural awareness”, many cultural programs were undertaken. Costumes and the paraphernalia for such programs were all prepared by the women of KKK during their free time and this made the stage very attractive and beautiful.
